- The Community Literacy, Workforce & Cultural Center is a new multipurpose facility for athletic, educational, and community outreach services
- The Impact Academy provides for STEM learning within the existing school
- The addition of the Whole Child Whole Family Service Center created additional athletic and community spaces
- The Campbell Health and Community Development Center provides access to food, healthcare services, childcare, workforce services, indoor turf area and a bowling alley
- Partners include Akron Children’s Hospital, United Way, Mahoning County Green Team, Sight for All United, Education Service Center of Eastern Ohio and Stark State College
Olsavsky Jaminet Architects was commissioned by the Campbell City School District to design and oversee construction of a multipurpose facility that will serve as an indoor venue for competition, club sports and intramurals. Amenities include basketball and volleyball courts, bleachers, track, batting cages, restrooms, locker rooms, fitness center, concession area, storage room, conference and multipurpose rooms. A STEM school (Impact Academy) was also incorporated into the design.
Professional design services also included site development for parking, site lighting, landscaping and future flag football fields. Other areas of the facility have been designated for an intermediate / urgent care and a public library for the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.
Numerous renderings and other visual aids have been provided to the district to solicit funds, gain support and create excitement within the community.
The addition of the Whole Child Whole Family Service Center and Akron Children’s Hospital completed the facility and provides additional athletic and community space.
Constructed on the same site, the Campbell Health and Community Development Center will provide access to food, healthcare services, childcare, and workforce services. Partners include United Way of Youngstown and Mahoning Valley, Mahoning County Green Team, Akron Children’s Hospital, Sight for All United, Education Service Center of Eastern Ohio, and Stark State College. A bowling alley is also incorporated into the design.

New K-12 School
- The new K-12 school accommodates 21st Century Learning skills
- Designed for student center learning as well as project based learning experiences by incorporating flexible spaces with coiling doors, mobile furniture, and collaboration areas
- The auditorium seats over 750 people, completely handicap accessible, lighting and technology is fully integrated and the performance area also has a flat floor to allow for pit orchestras
- An amphitheater serves as an extended learning area, a performance area for 240 people and outdoor gathering space
- A prefabricated 1,200 square foot greenhouse was erected to enhance educational curriculum and house the horticulture program
The new K-12 building for Beaver Local Schools is the realization of the State of Ohio’s goal to infuse the ideals of the 21st Century Learning skills into a state-of-the-art school facility. The new school houses innovative environments for elementary, middle and high school students with connectivity to shared functions coupled with appropriate separation of grouped grade levels. The complex provides students with multiple areas for athletics, art, music and drama. The naturalistic site features its own play fields as well as an adjacent golf course and easy access to Beaver State Park.
The facility features student center learning as well as project based learning experiences, through the full utilization of extended learning areas departing from typical classroom settings. This bold new school promises to deliver the kind of education that will enable students to succeed and embrace the future. The project delivery method selected by the state for this project is construction manager at risk.
