Project Description
Apollo Building
- Since its early construction in the 1910’s the building has undergone changes in use, but not until recently has the entire building undergone a major transformation such as this
- The building’s industrial past was integrated into the design through the preservation of the original interior elevations, including masonry walls, and exposing the building’s infrastructure, including structural columns, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems
- The event venue on the first floor features high ceilings with ornate detail and beautifully restored hardwood floors and second floor houses office space designed to represent the building character
- The third and fourth floors were renovated into modern luxury apartments offering generous living areas with panoramic views of the city
- The building serves as a landmark fixture within the City’s fabric and it is testament to Youngstown’s resilience, commitment to the past and a vision for the future

Project Description
Steelite International
- Interior renovations of three floors were completed at the Taft Technology Building and adjacent Semple Building in Youngstown, Ohio to house Steelite’s new corporate offices and quality control lab
- The modern design of the corporate offices showcases a welcome center, shuffle board, seating area and meeting spaces
In New Castle, Pennsylvania, the firm designed and oversaw construction of a 65,000-square-foot distribution center, a design-build project featuring a 48-foot-high storage structure for a specialized electronic product retrieval system. The warehouse required a super-flat concrete floor for computer-assisted equipment, and its showroom complemented the company’s tableware focus. Additionally, a 50,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal structure was added, connecting to the existing warehouse with new parking and loading areas designed for efficient truck and employee logistics. A 325,000-square-foot expansion is underway, with a potential 275,000-square-foot future phase, and a temporary structure was built to address inventory overflow, all coordinated to minimize operational disruptions.
In Youngstown, Ohio, the firm renovated 23,800 square feet across three floors of the Taft Technology and Semple Buildings for new corporate offices. The modern design includes a welcome center, shuffleboard, seating, meeting spaces, employee kitchens, quiet rooms, and a quality control lab. The 14,000-square-foot quality control lab in the Semple Building involved repairing concrete floors and reconfiguring space for storage, testing, and offices, with renovated and new restrooms. An 8,000-square-foot showroom in the Commerce Building, previously an exclusive restaurant, was updated to display Steelite International’s dinnerware, flatware, and hospitality solutions, incorporating a bar and kitchen for an intimate entertainment venue overlooking downtown.
In Chicago, Illinois, a 4,400-square-foot showroom was created through interior alterations, featuring an open-concept layout with movable dividers and display cases. Carefully selected finishes and fixtures complemented open shelving and large windows, enhancing the tableware display.
These projects highlight Olsavsky Jaminet’s ability to deliver functional, aesthetically aligned spaces tailored to the client’s operational and branding needs, from large-scale industrial warehouses to sophisticated showrooms and modern corporate environments, all while ensuring minimal disruption and logistical efficiency.
