Project Description

Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor

Specialized design features include large and small exhibit spaces, interactive display space, exhibit lighting and other controls to project the historical contents housed within. Integrated into the facility design are specialized archival storage, data communication and security system.

The second floor houses all the archival space. The project received awards and recognition from the Ohio Chapter of American Institute of Architects and the Eastern Ohio Chapter of American Institute of Architects and featured in Progressive Architecture magazine. In 2008, work included re-roofing and repairs to the exterior building envelope
In 2011 the Museum received grant funding to upgrade the entrance to be compliant with current ADA standards.
